WERSI

The Wersi Company in Halsenbach, Germany, have been manufacturing organs and keyboards for over 30 years. They have progressed from self-assembly kit organs in the 1970's to the current range of computer based, OAS (Open Art System) instruments. These instruments use Windows XP as an operating system, on top of  which runs the OAS system, which includes all the digital samples, accompaniments and drums, over 600 sounds in all.

The beauty of this concept is that the organ can be upgraded without having to replace the whole instrument - it's almost as easy as upgrading a PC.

You can also import new digital samples in AKAI format, allowing for real customisation of the instrument.
